Instructor Training Classes, June 2004

Kenny and Scott's Memorial Day Adventure

Instructor candidates, Kenny Schneider and Scott Cassell faced a trial by fire in their first PRISM Instructor Training (IT) class.  Prior to the class, the students had been encouraged to challenge their instructors, a task to which they graciously complied with creative enthusiasm.
The overall assessment was that the class went well, with a few minor snags (eg. a bucket full of crushed Sodasorb), but nothing catastrophic. The "practice" students seemed quite pleased with the instruction and look forward to finishing their training with both Kenny and Scott.

The first pool session was held at Peppardine University pool in Malibu, CA.  The second pool session was held a few weekends later at Wilderness Pacific's indoor pool, in San Pedro, CA.
